Roasted Brussels Sprouts


Facts about Brussels Sprouts:
Brussels sprouts are a cruciferous vegetable, found in the
same family as broccoli and cabbage. They are a great
source of vitamins C and K, and contain nutrients such
as folate, magnesium, fiber, potassium, and omega-3
fatty acids. Perhaps most notable, Brussels sprouts have
powerful cholesterol-lowering and cancer-preventing
effects. With 4 grams of fiber in every cup and only 56
calories, they aid in your digestive health and help you
feel full on fewer calories!






Ingredients:
1 lb Brussels sprouts
3 tablespoons olive oil
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 ground pepper

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Cut off the ends of the Brussels sprouts. Take off any extra leaves.
Cut each in halves
Mix them in a bowl with olive oil, salt and pepper.
bake it for 45-50 minutes.
Once they are browed, sprinkle some more salt (optional)
Serve with your favorite main dish
